There have been 26 firehouses (but 27 addresses) used by the paid Paterson Fire Department since 1890: four firehouses have served as department headquarters. Below are listed the firehouse address and the date it was first used by the Paid Paterson Fire Department. The first Firehouse constructed specifically for the paid department was 77 Highland Street in 1890.

When the department transitioned from Volunteer Status (after 75 years) several of their Firehouses were usurped and used by paid department.
1n 1898 the section of Tyler Street where a firehouse existed was renamed as Twelfth Avenue: the FH address changed from 298 Tyler Street to 176 12th Avenue
