Isaac Feliciano who grew up in Paterson received significant burn injuries as a 3 year old child in 1975. In 1977 complications related to spinal meningitis caused amputation of his lower left leg. Recovery took months and included a prosthesis. Amazingly he was able to play high school sports including football. Later in life after an arduous process documented below, he was appointed as a Paterson fireman on May 1, 2006: badge 592. He has served at Engines 1, 4 and 6. He was promoted to Captain on June 6, 2018 and serves at Engine 3.
