This is an 1886 (not 1870) Button Steam Fire Engine of Passaic Steam Fire Engine Company 1 located at 112 Van Houten Street (across the street from the later headquarters which was at 115 Van Houten Street.

Page 10 - The top photo (1930) are Ahrens (not Ahearns) Fox apparatus (E1, E5 & T2) at 115 Van Houten Street Headquarters. Bottom left pho is the hand pulled Smith Apparatus of Passaic Engine 1 (circa 1861) which was on Mulberry (not Prospect) Street. The photo at bottom right is the exact same apparatus in the preceding photo except it was transferred to Vigilant 6 in 1876. The firehouse was located on Market between Straight and Madison Streets (not Pennington) Street. The Market & Pennington St firehouse was not built until 1895
