July 2024: The PFD mechanic shop, located within the Madison Ave Firehouse, received and put into service six (6) brand new MP Series: Mobile Column Heavy Duty Truck Lifts from Mohawk Lifts. This integral equipment will assist the mechanics who work behind the scenes to maintain and repair our fleet of apparatus with greater safety and efficiency. Two (2) of the lifts have a maximum capacity rating of 18000 pounds while the remaining four (4) are rated at 16000 pounds each. This state of the art technology can be easily positioned by one person and turn any flat area into a productive work bay. The lifts are also able to provide unrestricted under-vehicle access as well as fully interlocked, redundant safety systems.
