July 9, 2021: New RAC (Rehabilitation Accountability/Arson/Air & Communications) Unit. (Yes, 3 A’s, but RAAAC would sound silly). This unique Unit is designed to meet State mandates for Safety Officer, Accountability Officer, Rehabilitation Officer, Arson Investigation and Respiratory Compliance. It makes compressed air on board and fills up to 5500 PSI SCBA and SCUBA. It carries command boards, water, extra cylinders, tents, arson investigation equipment, 6,000 PSI air reel, and the Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus (Air Cart for confined space rescue). It can respond anywhere in the State. This is being replaced in partnership with the State of NJ UASI. We are using the guts of the air system to reduce cost and the rig will be brand new. Graphics incomplete. Delivery before 2022. Soon, the Car-6 Ford F-150 will become RAC Support and will be “Arson only” to free investigators & fire marshals up for follow through on investigations and to facilitate transport of our full Arson Equipment Cache including a drone ready for rapid deployment.
